We had our second ultrasound last Friday. It was way better than the first one. The baby got huge in comparison to the first ultrasound. Two weeks ago it was 10mm, and Friday it was 27mm! Holy cow, I know! It was really cool to see it actually sort of look like a baby, AND I saw it move, a lot! I swear it was doing the robot. It’s little arms and legs were going up and down. It definitely made it feel a lot more real.
If you look at the second ultrasound (9/21/07 – the one that’s posted first) the baby’s actually upside down, so that big bump at the bottom is it’s head and you can see his arms and legs above it….isn’t that so cool??
We’ve got another ultrasound in two more weeks, on Oct.5 and it will be my “graduating” appointment from the fertility clinic. I’ve really enjoyed being able to see the baby every two weeks, I’m starting to think that we are actually a little lucky to be able to be going through the REI department. So after this I will be moved to my regular Obstetrician at the Homestead Kaiser campus, and my next ultrasound will be sometime in November to find out the sex of the baby – which I am SO excited for! I don’t really have a preference to what we have, but I do have a feeling it’s one over the other.
