Just Call Me Rosie…
So, I thought this would be a fun way to update everyone on how the baby and mommy are growing. It’s also a good way for me to get all this stuff out, so that I don’t have to bug everyone with my non-stop pregnancy chatter.
Alright, so today I am officially 7 weeks along. I feel almost perfectly fine, my boobs are big and sore, and at about 4:00 it’s hard to keep my eyes open. No real sign of morning sickness, although I have given up on the Sonicare toothbrush because it tends to make me gag and then I have a lovely 15 minute dry heaving session. But that’s only happen a few times, and not since I got a regular toothbrush.
This week the baby is about the size of a blueberry and supposedly it’s starting to move around like a little Korean-Japanese-White jumping bean. It has little limb buds with webbed fingers &toes and a tail. Ew. Let’s move on…
John has been working hard on the Before Baby List that I so lovingly put together for him. Earlier this week he crossed off his first item, putting in a new sprinkler system and new sod in the front yard. It’s very exciting, our house almost looks halfway decent now. He’s now moved on to digging out a whole bunch of dirt to extend the driveway with pavers, he thinks he’ll have the whole project done by Saturday. I don’t know about that.
We are sooooooo excited for tomorrow, our first ultrasound is at 3:30. I’m hoping that this will make this whole pregnancy thing feel a lot more real. Because I don’t have that many symptoms, sometimes I feel like I’m just imagining that I’m pregnant. So, of course, like any normal person, when I’m feeling like that, I just take another pregnancy test. Thank gawd for the internet. I found a website (pregnancytest.com) where I bought 20 pregnancy test strips for 80 cents each. (whatta deal!) So I don’t feel so guilty taking 2-3 tests a week. All positive, by the way. Yes, I know, I’m a little neurotic, maybe even tinkering on the verge of totally nuts. Hopefully this will all end tomorrow with the sight of a heartbeat.
Okay, well hopefully I’ll figure out how to update this thing, and maybe I’ll even be able to post the ultrasound photos. How exciting!!
Until tomorrow…
